Dulwich Hamlet Supporters’ Trust have written to Southwark Council in response to their consultation on Greendale – the land behind the current Champion Hill Stadium.
In the response, we point out that as a large community group, the Trust should be considered as one of the main stakeholders. We have also called for a much more cohesive plan, urging both Southwark Council and the Hadley Property Group (the owners of Champion Hill) to work together to deliver a sustainable and secure future for the club.
We urge ALL supporters to respond to Southwark’s survey, which closes tonight. We suggest that you ask Southwark Council to:
– acknowledge the importance of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, and recognise the benefits of keeping such a strong community club in the local area; and
– cooperate with Hadley Property Group to deliver designs that are in the best interests of the fans, local residents and the wider community.
The Supporters Trust were also on page 4 of Southwark News this week asking for greater cooperation between Southwark Council and Hadley Property Group.
