The Supporters’ Trust recently submitted its views to the Greater London Assembly’s (GLA) investigation into stadium-led regeneration. The submission set out the recent successes of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, and was supportive of the wider use of football stadiums for the benefit of local people.
We are pleased to see that the chair of the Regeneration Committee, Gareth Bacon, has taken note of the Trust’s submission; and specifically praised Dulwich Hamlet FC, the Supporters’ Trust and Champion Hill in a recent article found here.
The Regeneration Committee will produce a report on its findings in autumn 2014. We encourage supporters to reiterate the points made in the Trust’s submission to the GLA on the Talk London survey that is mentioned in Mr Bacon’s article. It is important to show the Regeneration Committee, the GLA and the Mayor the strength of feeling for Dulwich Hamlet and the non-league game. We want to ensure their review fully considers the impact of stadium regeneration at our level of the game and not just the higher divisions. The survey takes about 10 minutes and you need to create a log in.
