DHST Mission 2021

The Society’s objects are to benefit the community by: 

    1. being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves;
    2. achieving the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club;
    3. using its influence to ensure the long-term existence of the Club;
    4. promoting responsible and constructive community engagement by present and future representatives of the communities served by the Club and encouraging the Club to do the same;
    5. operating democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same;
    6. being a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief.

DHST Vision 2021

Dulwich Hamlet FC will in all respects be a beacon of quality in football - a viable and sustainable football club at the heart of its local community, protected for that community by its structure, ownership and values, and with a secure long-term home in East Dulwich whose facilities act as a hub for all local people.

DHST Objectives to the end of 2022

  1. we will ensure a high quality match day experience for the fans whose views we represent, for example by ensuring that the finalised plans for the new ground reflect fans’ needs 
    [End 2022 target - experience to be rated more highly by fans than prior to lockdown]
  2. we will maintain or increase the Trust’s shareholding in the Club and maintain our influence on the Club Board 
    [End 2022 target - Trust’s percentage of Club Board seats and shareholding percentage to be as high as at Nov 2020]
  3. we will work closely with the Club to address whatever issues threaten the Club’s health, and will take on a governance and culture role on the Club Board 
    [End 2021 target - governance and culture briefs to be held by Club Board members representing the Trust]
  4. we will investigate and report on alternative ownership structures designed to protect the community’s interest in the Club permanently 
    [Mid 2021 target - report produced]
  5. we will improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Trust membership, the Trust Board, the Club Board and the fan base 
    [End 2022 target - EDI in each area to show material improvement over end 2020] 
  6. we will increase the visibility of the Club in the football community at large in order to bring the Hamlet’s strengths to that wider community & so to benefit other fans and clubs 
    [End 2022 target - awareness of DHST & the DHFC culture in the fan community to be materially higher]
