Weymouth Programme Notes

15th Oct 2019

After last Saturday’s FA Cup victory against Eastbourne Borough, it is back to league action today when we welcome newly promoted Weymouth. The Dorset team visit Champion Hill sitting fourth on the league table, having won their last three league fixtures and will prove a tough challenge for Gavin and the team this afternoon.

We face another tough challenge next Saturday when we visit Havant and Waterlooville, having be drawn against them in the next round of this season’s the FA Cup competition.

With the winners progressing to the First Round Proper, we are hoping that supporters’ are keen to travel to the game next week. With this in mind, the Trust has been checking on whether enough people would be interested in travelling on a supporters coach to this tie on the 19th October.

As this would be an additional coach at short notice, the cost is likely to be around £18 adult, £13 concessions. However, the Trust will almost certainly be subsidising the coach if it runs.

We expect that the coach would leave Champion Hill Stadium at around 11.30 – to arrive by 14:00.

If you are interested in going on the coach, we ask that you indicate this intention at the Mega-container today or by emailing info@dhst.org.uk.

We are hoping to get sufficient numbers to confirm; a final decision will be made tomorrow morning (Sunday 13 October) so that, if the coach cannot run due to insufficient bookings, people have time to make other arrangements.

If before this game we have already confirmed, announcements will be made at the match today.

Do not forget you can also book your places on the coach to Chelmsford today or online www.dhfcshop.co.uk. This National League South fixture takes place on Saturday 28 October.

Tomorrow, the women’s team play their first home fixture since 8 September when Saltdean United visit Champion Hill. Kick-off is at 14:00 with admission prices £4 adults, £2 concessions, this league fixture is free entry if you are a Season Ticket holder. At the last home fixture we launch our new “Spicy” scarf priced at £10, these can be purchased on the day from our shop.
