Board Member Appointed to the Football Supporters' Association

24th Nov 2020

Ahead of the Football Supporters' Association (FSA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 11th December 2020, Trust Board member Tim Scott was elected as a representative for the National Game Network on the FSA National Council.

The FSA is an organisation representing football fans in England and Wales. It campaigns across a range of issues and supports fan representation on clubs' boards, lower ticket prices, and the introduction of safe standing areas at grounds in the top two tiers of English football.

The FSA's Annual Awards are also the largest supporter-led awards in the UK and last year they announced Dulwich Hamlet as the winners of the National Community Club.

Commenting on his appointment, Tim said "I ran for the FSA National Council because I believe fan engagement and fan representation are fundamental to drive positive change.

I hope that by joining the FSA National Council I can help raise issues of concern to football supporters, encourage good governance, highlight the importance of supporter representation on club boards, learn more about how we might achieve better community-ownership at the Hamlet but also share the experience gained from the Hamlet in terms of sustainable stewardship of football clubs.

The FSA values, including a commitment to diversity underpins and opposition to all forms of discrimination or violence in relation to football are equally close to my heart so it was an easy choice to run for the role."

Congratulations Tim.
