Club equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) Survey Launched today

24th May 2022

Supporters' Trust members and Dulwich Hamlet FC season ticket holders will shortly be receiving an invitation to complete a Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) survey.

Dulwich Hamlet FC and the Supporters' Trust are committed to preventing discrimination within all areas of its operation and within the stadium, providing an environment free from abuse, harassment, bullying and victimisation. Our fans and members are the heartbeat of everything we do, and we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure that Dulwich Hamlet is an environment where you can bring your true self.

As a commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion we are putting together a 3-year plan in order to create a fully inclusive football club from board level to fans. As part of this strategy the Club has appointed their first ever EDI Officer which is our very own Danny Mills.

Danny has already been working hard behind the scenes and will work with the club and Trust to ensure we are moving in the right direction. Through Danny we have already built up a relationship with organisations such as Show Racism the Red Card and Kick It Out and going forward we would like to continue to collaborate with these organisations.

On his appointment Danny said: “ I’m really proud and honoured to have been appointed Dulwich Hamlets first ever EDI Officer. This is a huge step forward to embedding inclusion throughout the entire football club and I can’t wait to continue the great work that has already started. This is going to be a fantastic journey for the football club and I’m humbled that I will be apart of it”.

The main benefit of conducting this survey is to provide fans and Trust members with the opportunity to give their voice and say on how they feel Diversity, Inclusivity and Equality is promoted within the club. This Survey will provide valuable insight into how you are feeling and highlights key actions and recommendations that can be taken to further embed a collective culture of wellbeing and inclusivity. By completing our survey, we will be able to fully understand where and how we can address under-representation and ensure that we encourage all of our local communities to get involved in football, whether as a fan, a player, a coach, a steward or to join the club’s workforce.

The Deadline to complete this survey is Friday 3 June 2022.

Please note: The information provided in responding to the survey will be treated in confidence and is anonymous.

You are not required to provide your name and completion of the survey is not compulsory. The information will be used for the sole purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of our Equality Policy.
