DHST announce roles for the new Board for 2016/17

23rd Jul 2016

At a time when Gavin Rose is still formulating this season’s starting line-up, DHST members elected their line-up for the season, when six new board members were elected to join those continuing on from 2015/16.

The new Board met for the first time last week. The meeting was opened by our recently appointed Secretary (Darren McCreery). One of the first duties of the Board was to elect a Chair, when Duncan Hart was unanimously supported to serve a second year as Chair for 2016/17.

Remaining in their roles from last season are Isaac Parnell (Treasurer), Mel Hughes (Merchandise & Mega Container lead) and Andy Greig who will continue his role as Football Committee Liaison.

As well as taking on the position of Vice-Chair this year, Alex Crane will now take the role of Ground Development lead. James Masini, who stepped down from the board last year, has kindly agreed to continue to advise the Board on planning issues link to the ground redevelopment.

New board member Mark Scoltock was appointed the role of spokesperson, with the trio of Alex Atack (project), Alex de Jongh (legal) and Matt Purser (business) appointed to bolster our work on fan ownership for the coming season. Peter Wright’s first role on the Trust Board sees him taking over the Membership Engagement role from Dave Rogers, with Dave moving to share the community development role with newly elected Walter Johnson.
