February 2016 DHST Board Minutes published

6th Mar 2016

The latest Board meeting of the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters’ Trust took place on 25 February. The full Minutes are available here.

The Board reluctantly accepted the decision of our long-serving Secretary, Mark Panton, to step down after the AGM this summer. Mark’s commitment and dedication has been central to the growth and strengthening of DHST during his 4 ½ year tenure. His focus on transparency, strong governance, democratic principles and fairness has provided the Trust an excellent foundation to fulfill our long-term ambition of making Dulwich Hamlet into a supporter-owned club. The Board will be considering the difficult job of how to replace Mark in the coming weeks. Other items discussed at the meeting included:

  • the ground redevelopment plans;
  • progress on creating a business plan for a supporter-owned football club;
  • Trust membership renewal;
  • progress on fitting out the Mega-Container;
  • funding applications; and
  • several community initiatives.

Monday 4 July was set as the date for our AGM, so please save this date in your diaries. Further information will be circulated to members nearer the time.

Membership renewal is making good progress and a drive for new members will take place at future fixtures. It is hoped that the new Mega Container will be opened at a game during March. Again we have to thank Trust Board member Alex Crane and supporters, Joe Kensington, Paul Osman and Gaird Wray who have been putting in a lot of work in getting the Mega-Container ready for business.
