LGBT+ History Month

28th Jan 2020

For the third year running the Supporters’ Trust have again produced a limited edition Dulwich Hamlet Rainbow scarf to celebrate LGBT History Month.

Alongside, the scarves we have produced beanies, baseball and trucker caps that feature the club crest in the Rainbow Flag colours. We also have a few remaining Rainbow lace in stock for only £3 per pair with all profits donated to Stonewall.

The scarves (pictured above) will be priced £10, with beanies / baseball caps £10 and Truckers £12. We will be donating, profits from the sale of the scarf sale, to Football v Homophobia and AKT (Albert Kennedy Trust).

AKT was formed in Manchester in 1989 to offer support to LGBT+ young people facing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. It now has additional offices in London and Newcastle that also offers support in finding safe homes in addition to support with things like employment, education and training.

Football v Homophobia will be very familiar to Hamlet fans, as the Trust and football club have been championing this initiative for many years.

It was originally conceived and launched by the Justin Campaign in 2010 to raise awareness of homophobia, that was prevalent in both grassroots and professional football.

When /where can you buy ?

200 scarves will be on sale at the men’s team home fixture this weekend, when Chelmsford City are the visitors to Champion Hill.

There will be another 200 scarves available at the women’s team home fixtures, the next being Sunday 9 February when Fulham FC are the visitors.

At all fixtures, the shop will open one hour before kick-off (13:00 women’s / 14:00 men’s). Before the games, there will be a maximum purchase of two scarves per person and any remaining scarves will be sold first come, first served at HT and FT (please note that the shop does not open at FT at women team’s fixtures)

The scarves are expect to sell out at both the games they are initially available from and please note that they will not be available via our online shop.

We are also unable to reserve scarves for any supporters who may not be able to attend the games above, so we would advise you to arrange for someone else to purchase one for you on the day.
