DHST and FAN take to the streets of Westminster to demand football reform
19th Apr 2015
DHST and Dulwich Hamlet fans took to the streets of Westminster before our big game against Maidstone on Saturday. We joined other football fans from across the country, as part of the Fan Action Network, to deliver the “This Game is Our Game” football manifesto to the headquarters of each of the three main political parties.
FAN outside Labour party HQ
On the doorstep of Conservative HQ – DHST took the manifesto inside
We met Baroness Grender (Deputy Chair of the election campaign, Liberal Democrats), the deputy director for communications at the Conservatives and the receptionist at the Labour party! FAN will be following up on these initial contacts by asking the parties to respond to each of the 11 objectives in writing.
Duncan Hart (DHST Board member) explains the manifesto to Baroness Grender (Deputy Chair of the Liberal Democrats election campaign)
You can view a clip recorded by Dave Rogers (DHFC fan) of David Goldblatt introducing the manifesto and an impromptu kickabout on Parliament Square here and a great selection of photos from Demotix. The game ended 1-1 if you’re interested!
The game finished 1-1 when the full time Big Ben bell donged at midday
