Winter Coat Collection for the Homeless

12th Nov 2019

At this weekends games (listed below) the Supporters’ Trust and Dulwich Hamlet Football Club will be collecting warm winter coats for the homeless for Wrap Up London.

If you have a big winter coat please bring it down to the club and please ensure it is sufficient to keep a homeless person warm through the winter.

Coats will be accepted for men, women, children and babies.

This November is the ninth year of Wrap Up London!

Drop offs will be located at six London Underground stations from 11th – 13th November. The charity then redistributes the coats to local charities and community groups who directly offer support to people who are homeless, refugees, older people, people fleeing domestic violence, and those at risk through living in poverty.

For people facing crisis, the impact of receiving a coat can go further than just keeping warm. The coats collected by Wrap Up London offer a real opportunity for positive change. When a person at risk makes contact with a charity to collect a coat they receive practical help from that organisation and have the opportunity to accept ongoing support to change their situation long-term.

Drops will take place at the following games this weekend:

Dulwich Hamlet v Billericay Town, Saturday 16 November KO 15:00
