Collection For The Albrighton Centre at Tomorrow's Women's Fixture

31st Oct 2020

At tomorrow's Dulwich Hamlet Women's home league fixture, kick-off at 14:00, there will be a collection for The Albrighton Centre.

Doors open at 12:30, and the club are encouraging people to arrive early to help keep everyone safe and avoid creating a queue.

Albrighton Centre collection

During these times of difficulty, there are many local groups working wonders within our community - no more so than an organisation just across the road from Champion Hill – The Albrighton Centre.

This weekend, we are asking all fans to bring donations of toiletries and sanitary items. There will be a drop off point inside the ground for all donations. Everything collected will go to the Albrighton Centre and be part of their ‘Community Fridge’.

Please note that all donations should be new and sealed.

What is a Community Fridge?

All the way through the COVID pandemic, The Albrighton centre have been working tirelessly to ensure everyone within the community has been supported during this time of need.

Recently they have launched their ‘Community Fridge’ scheme.

The Community Fridge is for people who need to access food. The Albrighton Centre is open every afternoon except Wednesdays, from 11:00 - 16:00, and is open access. No referral is needed.

People can drop of donations of food between 11:00 - 16:00 every day, except Wednesday. They do not accept donations of bread.

As well as food, people often need to access essentials like toiletries and sanitary items; your donations will make a difference in a year that has squeezed so many people financially. If you are unable to attend the game but would still like to donate financially or have any questions, please contact Dulwich Hamlet's community team on: commmunity@dulwichhamletfc.co.uk
